When You Lose a Beloved Family Pet 

Losing a pet companion is very difficult. There is sadness and deep pain filled with a empty feeling within your heart. It is normal to grieve the loss of a pet, and it  does take  time to heal such a huge loss. You will begin to come to terms with your loss in time. Please give yourself as much time as you need, do not rush into getting another puppy until you are truly ready to bring a new puppy into your heart and home.

You need to go through this grieving period first, and then the healing process will begin. Understand it may all take some time, sometimes a longer time for some people. Take all the time you need to get through this process.   

Sometimes people feel such a emptiness or loss they rush out to get another puppy, without being ready emotionality to handle having a new puppy in their life. Getting a new puppy without being ready  is a terrible mistake some people make; and  both you and the puppy can suffer because of this. Either one of you will be happy about this new change in both your lives. 

Please wait and give yourself  the time you need to start to heal. Wait until you feel in your heart it is the right time for you, by doing this you and your new puppy will get off to a happy beginning !

Never get another puppy with the thoughts of replacing your special friend. With this thought in mind you are not being fair to either your new puppy or yourself. Every puppy is very special in their own way and have different personalities. Do not compare your new puppy with the pet you lost, no two puppies will ever be the same!

The love and memories you shared together, with your special pet will always stay close within your heart.  All these fond memories will bring some peace into your heart again. At this time you will be in a place where a new puppy will bring new joy into your life. At that time you will be truly blessed!

  Though you can not always see the bird singing,

if you listen with your heart,

You can always hear his song.

Though the ones we love may leave life as we know it,

in our memory the love we knew will always carry on in our hearts forever.
